JDMIS teaches jewellery design, metal arts, fashion jewellery and gemmology to students in Singapore and abroad. Eight certificate courses run fully online through the JDMIS learning platform, with self-paced video lessons, graded assignments and live virtual sessions under instructor supervision. This page lists every online option in one place: courses, study modes, introductory webinars and how online study stacks toward a diploma.
Three ways to study
Online learning puts the whole course on the internet. You work through HD video recordings on the JDMIS platform at your own pace, complete quizzes and graded assignments, and join virtual synchronous sessions (for example on Zoom) where an instructor supervises your work directly.
Blended learning mixes the online platform with trips to the Singapore campus. You study most sessions at home, then come in for the lessons that benefit from a bench, a kiln or an instructor's hands-on correction. Every blended course includes the materials: printed guides, tools and consumables for the projects.
In-class training is the traditional route, 30 hours over five days at the Sunshine Plaza campus with tools and materials provided. The full comparison of the three modes is on the learning-modes explainer.

Study-from-anywhere questions
Can I finish a JDMIS certificate without coming to Singapore?
Yes. The eight courses above run fully online: asynchronous video lessons on the platform plus virtual synchronous sessions with an instructor. No campus attendance is required for those courses.
What is the difference between online and blended study?
Online keeps everything on the internet. Blended replaces some online sessions with in-class lessons at the Singapore campus and includes printed guides, tools and consumable materials.
Which qualifications can I earn online?
The courses above are JDMIS certificate courses, and certificates are stackable: they combine toward the Diploma in Fine Jewellery Design, Precious Metal Arts or Fashion Jewellery Arts, taught at the Singapore campus.
How do the live online sessions work?
They run as virtual synchronous meetings, for example on Zoom, with a JDMIS instructor supervising. Recordings of the asynchronous lessons stay available, so a missed time-zone slot does not cost you the material.
Do I need drawing or bench experience to start?
The foundation courses (JD200, DD100, FT100, MS100, GT200) assume no professional experience and teach from first principles. MS200 and FJ200 build on foundation skills.
