  • Expert instruction with maximum instructor’s in-class support
  • Limited runs & class sizes
  • Premium option for professionals with time and budget

Blended learning

A brand-new experience and option for those staying or can travel to our Singapore campus. Less physical attendance is required, complemented by structured asynchronous learning of on our online platform. Learners come to class to enjoy maximum support of key skills and concepts yet enjoy learning the rest of the sessions at their own pace at the comfort of their home.

In addition to HD-quality video recordings by the instructors, each lesson is tailored to help you gain understanding in a specific aspect of the course with quizzes and graded assignments to ensure learning outcomes are achieved

Live Synchronous Learning Sessions:

For live online sessions, JDMIS uses modern video conferencing technologies that allow you to interact with your instructor and classmates in real time. This is not the standard online course where you only get a pre-recorded video of your instructor and some multiple choice questions for class engagement.

Optional course materials

In the Materials tab of each lesson in JDMIS’ online learning platform, you will find the associated digital handout(s) which you can download and use as reference as you go through lesson. These handouts also include practical exercises which you should attempt and complete to practice the techniques you learn in each lesson. These handouts are the same ones that our students receive when they attend the course in-person at JDMIS.

Metalsmithing toolbox

Optionally (and highly recommended) our online learning students have the option to purchase and use the exact same set of tools and equipment used by our students in class: ensuring a smooth learning experience that includes every tool and every metal part, finding and gemstone our students use to create when in-school.

Just like any regular session in JDMIS, you'll be constantly applying what you learn. You'll be engaging in exercises and group activities via virtual breakout rooms that allow for pair or group work. Your instructor will also provide you with the link to recordings of each session in case you need to revisit your lesson.

This is the most affordable options and particularly suitable for overseas students or those who have difficulties travelling to our campus for whichever reasons:

  • Stackable qualifications leading to Diploma and beyond
  • Self-paced learning with lifetime access
  • Expert instruction with community and online instructor support
  • Extended SSG funding support for Singaporeans
  • Lowest cost & globally accessible
