Since young, Tameem has always had an artistic streak and a love for product design . Having never forgotten his childhood passion, he gradually transitioned from his full-time job in marine engineering to design by first attaining a degree in product design from Curtin University in 2005 and worked for a design company named Innovasia for several years.

He went on to apply his newfound jewellery skills to create hundreds of freelance designs for his customers and eventually joined JDMIS as a Digital Design instructor, imparting his artistic acumen and practical experience to future jewellery artists.
