Keep Flexible Jewellery Education Alive in Singapore

The JDMIS modular diploma pathway is ending for new learners at the direction of the new SWDA. No modular Skills Framework exists to support the jewellery industry.
The regulator needs to hear from the people its decisions affect.

Video Explainer: 10min

Existing students: Every certificate you have earned stands, and classes run as scheduled.

If you were relying on completing a modular diploma you have already started, the transitional arrangement agreed with the regulator lets you continue and complete under the existing modular structure until 10 September 2027 — with a Recognition of Prior Learning route available thereafter. We will write to every eligible learner individually with their position and next steps.
If you are just joining JDMIS - your options are to complete either short targeted skills certification courses, or a formal long-duration diploma. Short skills qualification can no longer be recognised as credits towards a Diploma qualification. A regulatory review of the pathway forward has been requested. Without your voice, the regulator cannot act in your interests.

Log in with your email or NRIC (last 4) and the page shows your own record. Confirming your intention to complete is optional — your place in the transition to 10 September 2027 is not conditional on it — but it helps us schedule the modules you still need and remind you as the window progresses. The rest is optional support for JDMIS and other learners that want modular options and funding in the future.
Your time to complete that is appreciated.

1 · Confirm your intention — optional, but it helps us plan your classes and remind you before 10/09/2027
2 · Sign the petition (optional, and appreciated)

IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYER OR BUSINESS OWNER

Your company's letter of support for our industry

If your firm has trained people at JDMIS, relies on a pipeline of trained jewellery professionals, or would benefit from funded or modularised training, a company letter to the skills agency carries weight: it asks that a modular, stackable pathway be re-established for the sector, and that jewellery training regain funded, accredited status.
Your firm can sign the public petition as well, adding weight to its message.

1 · Write our company letter 109 of 250 company letters from the industry — the letter is written for you; you tick, sign and send. 2 · Sign the petition 595 of 2,000 signatures — your company's name carries weight.
