The twenty proposed jewellery skills

Draft for SSG / SWDA engagement · not a new sector framework — a routine quarterly list update · open dashboard ↗ · ministerial brief ↗

Twenty jewellery skills in five tracks, drafted from SSG-approved course content and cross-referenced to UK NOS (CCSJ suite), the WorldSkills standard and the recognised UK occupation. Not a new sector framework — a routine quarterly list update. Every track carries PL1–2 entry rows for beginners and career switchers; levels follow SSG's convention of one title spanning multiple proficiency rows.

Enter with a single module — new hire, career switcher or working owner-operator — and stack toward diploma and advanced diploma in whatever order the business demands: business skills first, craft depth later, or the reverse. Shared modules (GT/FT) are the transfer points between tracks. As of this month the trade offers no such option: zero jewellery job roles, zero pathway, and the only WSQ jewellery course ever created (2014) was an eighty-hour dead end.
