Now we are pleased to announce the launch of our Glass Fusing & Flamework Experience class!
We are very excited to introduce the latest member of our faculty and expert Glass Artist Mahine Rattonsey who will share with us her skill and experience!
Informative and fully hands-on, this 3 hour session is designed to whet the appetite of the would be glass maker. Every participant will go home with their own colourful and creative glass fused centerpiece creation.
This class is ideal for absolute beginners, those who are not yet sure that they want to commit to the 40 hour course or for those who are simply curious about glass as a material and want to try it out. The techniques you will learn are the foundation on which all other hot glass processes are based and is therefore the perfect place to start to indulge your passion for glass art.
Another exciting part of this experience is a live Flamework demonstration: Mahine will show the skill it takes to use heat and gravity as tools! Gain an appreciation for the thrill of manipulating molten glass into a variety of shapes showing what you could do yourself and discuss different glass techniques can be used to create your own distinctive pieces of jewellery!
